This policy explains in detail how we use any information collected during any session of usage by you (hereinafter “your information”).
Your information is collected via two ways. Firstly, by browsing our forums, the forum software will create a number of cookies, which are small text files that are downloaded on to your computer’s web browser temporary files. These cookies contain a user identifier (hereinafter “user-id”) an anonymous session identifier (hereinafter “session-id”), and information used to determine which topics have been read, thereby improving your user experience.
The second way in which we collect your information is by what you submit to us. This, is, for example: posts, profile information, etc. Your account will as a minimum contain a user name and a password used for logging into your account, and a valid email address. Your information for your account is protected by data-protection laws applicable in the country that hosts us. In many instances, you have the option of what information in your account is added, or publicly displayed. Furthermore, within your account, you have the option to opt-in or opt-out of automatically generated emails and notifications.
Your password is ciphered so that it is secure. However, we recommend that you only use this password for our forums. Your password is the means of accessing your account, so please guard it carefully and do not disclose it to anyone. We will never ask you for your password. Should you forget your password for your account, you can use the “I forgot my password” feature. This process will ask you to submit your user name and your email, a new password will then be generated and sent to your registered e-mail address.
